NATIONAL PARK SERVICES LESES

Law Enforcement, Security, and Emergency Services Training Booklet

Protect those in the woods.

Client:

National Park Service Law Enforcement, Security and Emergency Services (LESES) - Washington DC

Project Details:

While many are familiar with the National Park Service (NPS), fewer know about the Law Enforcement, Security, and Emergency Services (LESES) program, which is responsible for preventing, detecting, and investigating criminal activity across all NPS parks. LESES sought to update their training materials to better support both new and existing staff.

I was tasked with designing a comprehensive internal training booklet that clearly outlined the program’s training objectives and goals. The deliverables included a high-quality, full-color printed booklet, as well as an editable Word version for easy internal updates. Collaborating closely with the LESES team, I coordinated content, branding, and imagery to ensure consistency.

I developed an InDesign template that enabled our junior designer to seamlessly insert content and make adjustments as needed. The booklet was designed as an 8.5” x 11” horizontal layout, maximizing space for detailed content and a mix of large and small images, all within a color palette of greens, blacks, and beige to maintain a professional and cohesive look.
