NATIONAL PARK SERVICES LESES

Law Enforcement, Security, and Emergency Services Training Booklet

Protect those in the woods.

Client:

National Park Service Law Enforcement, Security and Emergency Services (LESES) - Washington DC

Project Details:

Most people have heard of the National Park Service (NPS) but not the Law Enforcement, Security, and Emergency Services (LESES) program that prevents, detects and investigates criminal activities at all of the United States NPS parks. The NPS LESES needed help with updating their existing program with printed materials to help with training new and existing staff.

I was tasked with designing a new internal training booklet that outlines the training and goals of the programs. This included a full 4-color high end booklet along with a Word version for internal use and ease of updating. I worked with their team to coordinate content, branding and imagery. I created an InDesign template setup which allowed our junior designer to go in and insert content and make any necessary changes. All colors stayed within the green, black and beige color range and the booklet was laid out in a 8 1/2” x 11” horizontal flat which took advantage of using a lot of content and incorporating large and smaller sized images.

Tasks:

• Creative leadership, design and brand execution.
