NASA PUFFERFISH

Interactive Pufferfish Globe Design and Applications

Some great ideas don't always come in square boxes, sometimes they are on round globes.

NASA presents every few years at conferences in Europe concerning spectrum sharing and frequency bands. They wanted something they could present with along with have as a stand alone traveling piece. My team and I came up with using the Puffersphere that would check all their needs. This sphere was a 360° experience where presenters and visitors could interact with the educational multimedia that my team also produced. We also trained the NASA staff and produced training materials to help future team members.

The NASA team was so pleased with the outcome that we produced a second sphere which was used as a traveling exhibit piece.

"I worked with Toby and his team at Media Fusion for about five years. I was first introduced to Toby and his team when my team was presented with very unique challenges for an international conference. We were required to put together a show-stopping visual piece for a booth at an international audience at a conference that lasted three weeks. And my team had less than seven months to have this piece at the booth.

Toby and his team recommended this newer, 360 degree touch screen technology that would truly stop the audience in their tracks and invite them into our booth. While my team was working on the procurement side of things, Toby and his team were busy mocking up some ideas and working with that company’s technology to make sure their vision was able to come to life. With less than three months to go, Toby and his team were working nonstop to meet deadlines, troubleshoot a lot of issues (there was a big learning curve) and make sure the messaging and the visuals were on point.

Toby and his team were organized and gave us weekly, if not daily updates about their progress through a collaboration hub. This made progress really easy to track and roll up to my team.

In the end, the piece of equipment was shipped overseas on time and our booth was a huge hit. Tons and tons of pictures and videos were taken of people in our booth learning about the work my team did.

After this conference, my team wanted to travel with this piece of equipment so we enlisted Toby and his team’s help to add some more content. Toby and his team were great to work with and we came up with some really neat ideas that appealed to a lot of younger audiences."
